I am a RYT-200 (registered yoga teacher)
My initial yoga teacher training was under Stephanie Keach and the amazing teachers at the Asheville Yoga Center. I completed a second 200 hour training at Empower Yoga in the Baptiste style. I also have a level 1 certification in Grounded Kids Yoga, a Wisdom Warrior certification from Desiree Rambough and countless hours in weekend workshops and other trainings.
I am a mother to two children, who inspire me to stay flexible and a wonderful husband who keeps me grounded.
I came to yoga in 2003 after dabbling in yoga for years. I truly ‘found’ yoga when I was trying, desperately, to have my second child. Yoga calmed my mind and gave my body relief from the infertility treatments. While preganant and after having my second child I kept up with my practice and expanded my love of yoga. When my children were old enough for my husband to brave my leaving him, I did my first 200 hour teacher training. Teaching yoga is truly my calling. And while I love being a yoga teacher, I am forever a yoga student. I continue to take numerous yoga workshops and classes and to learn and share with my students.
There is no greater compliment then when a student tells me that they feel gratified and grateful after a class. I am so fortunate to share what I love with others and to do that for a profession.
I look forward to meeting you on the mat.
Caren,
My name is Dr, Scott Dixon. I work at Polaris Spine a few days a week. I’m a physical therapist and HUGE yoga fan. I was on vacation when you stopped in, but would love to find out more about you and your practice. I recommend yoga to all my patients.
Thanks so much for your time
